Q: What is a rare pair?
A: For Oasis, a rare pair is any pairing with less than 500 fics on A03.Pairings we will not accept are:

A: A collection is a cross between a zine and a bang. We want to encourage everyone to express their love of rare pairs regardless of past event participation or skill level. We want to create a space where everyone is welcome to create.Q: What type of content will be accepted?
A: All content will be accepted as long as it is properly tagged, please note we are a pro-ship collection.Q: Do I need to submit any samples or excerpts with my application?
A: Nope! All you need is a link to your social media, an email, a discord, and a desire to create.Q: Will everyone be accepted?
A: Yes, with a caveat: we are a pro-ship, anti-harassment event. All participants must be 18+. Anyone who has participated in bullying, harassment, or excessive character/ship hate will not be asked to participate, or they will be asked to leave the event.Q: Is this zine for-profit or non-profit?
A: This collection is a non-profit project. Upon release, the collection will encourage people to visit Outright International to donate on behalf of the project!Learn more about Outright International!Q: Is this physical or digital? Will there be merch?
A: This collection is digital. Unfortunately there are no plans for merch at this time!Q: For writers, what is the minimum and maximum word count we can submit?
A: The minimum word count is the length of a single haiku. The maximum word count is 15k across 3 submissions.^{examples: Writer A submits 1 fic (6k), 1 set of haiku (10 haiku amounting to 200 words), and 1 poem (150 words.)
Writer B submits 2 fics (10k and 5k).}Q: Do I have to submit 15k worth of writing?
A: No! You can submit a single piece as short as one haiku. Short pieces are just as welcome as a single 15k oneshot!Q: For artists, what are the requirements?
A: The minimum is a single sketch or page of sketches and the maximum is 3 pages of art in any of the following forms: line art, flat color, fully rendered, illustrations with backgrounds, and/or comic pages.Q: What size are the pages?
A: A4 size. (210 mm x 297 mm)Q: What happens if a pairing crosses 500 fics during the creation period?
A: As long as your pitch was approved, you're a-okay to continue writing/drawing.Q: Will there be a cap on rarepairs and themes?
A: Nope! We assume there will be a great variety in both rarepairs and themes. In the case that we do get a significant amount of the same rarepair we will discuss, but we don't anticipate it happening!

Zine Breakdown

The zine will have three sections:Shelter (SFW)This includes works that are non-explicit, essentially for general audiences. This also includes content that contains non-sexual mature themes.Sanctuary (NSFW)This category will contain works with basic “vanilla” NSFW, kink (light BDSM, voyeurism, golden showers, feet, etc.) hard kink (hardcore BDSM, light pet play, etc.), and AUs with animal-like behavior play such as omegaverse, hardcore pet play, Furry, and so on.Sanctum (Dark)This category is for all things dead dove. Non-con, incest, gore and violence, underage with significant age gaps and darker predatory dynamics, as well as loli/shota.
